What started as a passing thought quickly turned into something we couldn’t ignore.
Over a year ago, we had our eye on a space in Shipshewana, IN, inside Yoder's Red Barn Shoppes. The moment we saw it, we knew exactly what belonged there: a plant shop. Not just any shop, but one built around experience, creativity, and community.
After a year of waiting and watching, we made it official and brought Jungle Jane’s Plant Shop to life. What you’ll walk into isn’t just a store. It’s a place to create, celebrate, and get your hands a little dirty.
Here’s what we’re building:
- A potting bar where you pick your plant and vessel, and we pot it for you on the spot
- A terrarium and succulent bar for hands-on creations
- A paint-your-own pot station so you can design something completely unique
- Kid-friendly experiences, including pot-your-own plant activities
- Birthday parties and private events that turn plants into a full-on experience
- Monthly events in the commons area to bring people together
Jungle Jane’s is built for the funky, unique, and slightly offbeat. The things that make you smile when you didn’t expect to. This shop isn’t about perfect rows of identical plants. It’s about personality. It’s about finding something that feels like you.
Jungle Jane’s is also an extension of our roots. Our sister company, Slick Raven Marketing, has proudly served the Shipshewana area for years. This town already feels like home, and now we’re putting down roots in a whole new way.
And then there’s Jungle Jane herself. She may be small, but she’s already taken on one very important role… naming the plants. So if you leave with something like “Prickly Paul,” you’ll know exactly who to thank.
We’re building this place to be full of wall-to-wall greenery, creative energy, and a little bit of chaos in the best way.
